TO KNOW GOD
TO SHOW GOD
TO SHARE GOD
OUR VISION
TO KNOW GOD
we experience God and His love for us and then walk with Him, deepening that relationship.
TO SHOW GOD
as we receive God's Spirit we find Hewants to change us for the better and to make us more like Jesus.
TO SHARE GOD
we can't keep good news to ourselves so we want to share what we have found in God with others around us.
OUR VALUES
So what are we about at St Johns?
Well, we try and live up to the values
that God has shown us to be important.
These are:
1 Jesus at the Centre- we have come
to find that Jesus wants to be involved
in every part of our lives, both individually and as we come together
2 Positive Faith in God - sometimes life is tough and we can so often get disappointed or discouraged. We have come to see that God wants to walk with us through the challenging and difficult times too.
3 Every Member Ministry - we know that every member of St John's is gifted but often in different, exciting ways. However, when we start working together we find that we are able to accomplish so much more.
4 Caring Community - we find that
God calls us to get to know each other on a fairly deep level. We become friends and we become people who support and love each other.
5 Living for the Lost - "Have we got Good News for you". It's only natural that when we have received some good news that we want to pass it on. It is good news to have met with God - we want to tell others they can too!
